limerickoperafestival.ie / desktop experience
A central digital home for the festival, its programme and its story.
The challenge
An ambitious cultural project had no stage online.
The Limerick Opera and Music Project was established in 2019 to reinvigorate the city’s historic connection to opera and music.
The organisation was creating performances, workshops, community events and opportunities for emerging talent, but it had no website through which to present that work to the public.
It needed an official digital home that could promote each festival, communicate a changing programme and tell the deeper story of opera in Limerick—while remaining practical for a busy, growing organisation.
No digital home
There was no central place for audiences, artists, partners or supporters to discover the organisation and its work.
A rich story to organise
Events, heritage, artist development, education and community outreach all needed clear space without overwhelming visitors.
More than a launch
Festival dates, programmes, news, ticket routes and supporters would continue to change, so the platform needed ongoing care.
What we built
A website that performs before the curtain rises.
A first digital presence
We designed and developed the organisation’s first website, giving the festival a distinctive and credible place online.
Events and ticket pathways
Upcoming events, festival information and calls to action guide visitors from discovery towards schedules, registration and ticketing.
Limerick’s story at the centre
The website celebrates the city’s operatic tradition, including the legacies of Catherine Hayes and Joseph O’Mara.
A flexible WordPress foundation
The team has structured space for festival programmes, news, sponsors, community work and future initiatives as the project evolves.
An ongoing partnership
Our involvement did not end at launch. We continue to support the team and contribute where we can to the wider mission of bringing opera to Limerick.
The wider story
Built around the festival, not just the calendar.
The website gives individual events the immediacy they need while preserving the larger purpose behind them: celebrating Limerick’s heritage, supporting talent and making opera feel open to the wider community.
The year the Limerick Opera and Music Project began its work to reinvigorate the city’s historic connection to opera and music.
The result
A cultural project with a visible, credible home.
The Limerick Opera Festival now has an official platform through which people can understand its mission, discover events and connect with the organisation.
Visitors can explore the festival programme, follow routes to tickets and registration, learn about Limerick’s operatic heritage and keep up with the project’s work throughout the year.
For the organisation, the website provides a flexible foundation that can evolve alongside new performances, artists, partners and community initiatives—with WebDevBuilders continuing to support that journey.
An official digital home
The organisation now has a credible central presence for its festival and year-round work.
Clear event discovery
Audiences can find programmes, upcoming events, registration and ticket routes in one place.
A stronger cultural story
The platform connects current performances with Limerick’s rich operatic history and identity.
Room to evolve
A maintainable WordPress foundation supports changing programmes, news and future initiatives.
